Presenter

  • Daphne Gurney

    Daphne Gurney has been a passionate Montessori teacher for 25 years. She started her career in Early Childhood Education enhancing language learning through Montessori for children who needed extra language support before starting school. She moved to teaching lower elementary 15 years ago and has taught in public Montessori classrooms in BC ever since.  She has a B.Sc. from the University of Victoria and a B.Ed. from UBC. She has AMS Montessori training (ages 6-9), has participated in Montessori Mentorship programs throughout BC, and has completed the Montessori Coaching workshop directed towards coaching Montessori educators in the public sector. She is currently a Member at Large on the BC Montessori PSA executive.
